The King County Community Service Areas Grant program has awarded The Fall City Learning Garden (Learning Garden) an amount that is less than 20% of the planned expense for the project, so we require significant contributions, both in-kind and financial to complete the initial phase of building the p-patch.
To complete the first phase of creating the gardening plots we need:
-
Raised bed enclosure materials and hardware (we prefer a durable lumber)
-
Topsoil, compost and soil amendments
-
Wood chips for pathways
-
Tools (shovels, rakes, trowels, etc.) and hoses, wheelbarrow
-
Fencing materials (about 250 feet)
And we need cash donations for such items as portable toilet, water, and workshop materials.
The Learning Garden is a project of Sno Valley Tilth, a registered 501(c)(3) organization.
